Does our youtube channel 'exploit' our autistic son? When the intent is to help educate, help, support, encourage other families dealing with autism? When our number one priority is our son Joshua who is 12 years old, and in making sure that we ask before each and every video goes out that we check in to be sure he is okay with what we put out there. Joshua will speak about how he feels about filming and being on our youtube channel. And from what we have seen in the past year, Our son has learned to engage with other children, film, edit and even "Story tell" since being on a youtube channel. This is our story and our son's story and as long as we can help someone and Joshua is learning, having fun and feeling like he is able to help others we will continue to do our channel. The day it stops being any of those things we will stop. We have found so many other autism channels that have helped Us get through some difficult times and have made some of our very best friends and gained our biggest supporters through having a youtube channel! To those other autism channels, thank you for being courageous and sharing your personal stories and life all in the name of helping to spread "Awareness" and support to this beautiful community we are all a part of!
