Fast, Flat, and Fun but no PB! – Middlesbrough 10K POV Run Experience 🏅

The mighty Thirteen Middlesbrough 10k, hosted by Run For All, was a last minute decision but well worth it.

The run takes you through the streets of the town and even out by the Riverside Stadium (home to Middlesbrough FC for football fans). The crowds were amazing and you really felt their energy, well I did. I shot this in first-person POV, capturing the full atmosphere of the race day. The run was pretty much flat, with only a few inclines. Parking was easy as there's plenty of places. I parked by the Odeon Cinema which was free too and quite close to the event village (which is by the Cleveland Centre). It's worth noting that if you're picking your race number up on the day, then arrived early as it does get busy.

The race itself started very well but I did struggle after about the 7km mark - my fault really, as I didn't train as I should have. I even dropped my headphones near the end too. This didn't affect my time but it did make me feel daft. That said, I really enjoyed it and can't wait to do this one again! My officla time was 52:49.
