U.S. House passes resolution to reunite Korean-American families with long-lost relatives in N. Korea

美 하원, '북미 이산가족상봉' 법안 이어 결의안도 통과

U.S. Congress has passed a resolution calling for the U.S. and North Korea to reunite the immediate relatives of families separated since the Korean War.
The bipartisan resolution passed Tuesday in a 316 to 102 vote.
In 2001, 100-thousand of the divided families were Korean-Americans.
As 20 years have passed, the bill urges immediate action as time is running out.
Another bill also passed that requires the Secretary of State and the U.S. Special Envoy on North Korea Human Rights Issues to expedite the process.
