Turning an Odd Piece of Wood into a Stunning Mini Coffee Travel Mug | Woodturning Project

In this week’s video, I’m transforming an unusual piece of wood into a mini coffee travel mug. After prepping the wood, I cast it into resin with a bold color choice—solid white pigment—to create a striking contrast between the wood and the resin. Once turned on my woodturning lathe, I sanded it up to 400 grit and finished the piece with mineral oil for a smooth, natural finish. I also used flexible resin to secure the stainless-steel inserts, ensuring durability and a perfect fit.
