Every day, Tamu Batu Niah is open, but Sunday is the best day to go.
There are more people, food, noise, and lures!
Vegetables here cost between RM2 and RM5, so please don't bargain. This is the primary way for our local sellers to generate income.
Come with me as I shop for fresh fruits, vegetables, as well as quite too much kuih muih. This tamu is also the only place you'll ever see an introvert like me talk to random people.
After the Tamu, you can visit Gua Niah National Park, which features one of the most significant prehistoric caves in Southeast Asia.
Or simply enjoy your morning coffee by the Niah River, where you might be pleasantly surprised to witness a crocodile swimming or sunbathing nearby. 🐊☕
