Upendo (ft Davine Kerebi) [Official Music Video]

My dad, who's my greatest inspiration for my Christian walk, reminds me constantly that love isn't hard, but sinful hearts are. It is possible then to ask God to give us hearts of flesh that let go of all selfishness and love in the way that Jesus would. He has done it, so it is possible.

"Upendo", though released earlier than my upcoming album "Heart Fixer", was written last, in late October 2024. The personal experiences and circumstances surrounding the thoughts I was having about love and loving cannot be fully expressed as human thoughts and emotions are so complex, but a reminder of the Bible's narration about what love is, and is not, will suffice. Hence this potentially tear-inducing piece, which serves as a challenge to my friends Dee and Joel, as well as to everyone ever thinking about love- myself included. It's possible to live a different kind of life. I know it. Jesus shows it.
