Pasir Ris Park-RIP Spotted Wood Owlet.Wildlife, nature, birding in Singapore.

Pasir Ris Park(PRP) is located very close to Tampines Eco Green (TEG). In Oct 2024, I visited TEG, but the toilet at Sun Plaza park was under renovation. I don't feel comfortable visiting a park without a toilet. So I did a change to PRP instead. This switch let me watch some wildlife in action.
Fast forward in Apr 2025, I was in TEG again. I decided to visit PRP because there was not much at TEG. Again, a last minute decision let me meet the otters at the Kingfisher pond. So glad they are back and I was lucky again to watch them.
Then, the spotted wood owls family behaviour has changed. Unlike other nesting season, they no longer fly around Car Park C and D after they left their nest early Jan 2025. Out of so many trips, I have only met them once. The sad news is, the owlet that I shared in Dec 2024 has pass away the 2nd week of Apr. So I am saving my one and only sighting in Feb here.
I always feel watching wildlife needs fate. Really....we can only spot them when they decided to meet us.
