On Sunday the 21st of December 2025, route 160 (the longest route on the Transperth network by travelling time excluding the CircleRoute) underwent a service change in Fremantle to travel via Adelaide Street, Queen Victoria Street and Ord Street instead of High Street, reinstating two stops along Ord Street which were previously served by the Fremantle Red CAT before it was withdrawn on the 15th of August 2020.
In this video we travel on buses along the new section and check out the new stops, as well as see a clip of a Fremantle-bound 160 on Stirling Street which is now no longer served. After that we head to the actual Stirling Station to see a few shots of the first ever Karrinyup depot electric bus TP4080 operating on the new Surf CAT. This bus was very busy with enthusiasts (so I didn't film onboard, but you can check out the original Surf CAT video here for the full journey: • The Brand-New SURF CAT, Route 410/412 Exte... ), marking the start of this new era of buses for Perth's northern suburbs!
