[BIOGRAPHY]

HamojiN from Tokyo gathers some of the best and most reputable musicians in the jazz and a cappella music industry from Japan. They are Ayumu, Daisuke, and Kotetsu, veteran professional jazz vocalists, together with Kaichiro, vocal percussion master. This group of good drinking friends came up with the name “HamojiN”(鱧人) after their acclaimed debut in 2015, by combining the word “Harmony” and “people”(JIN) together, meaning “Harmony of people”. As described by their name, they pursue the possibilities of improvisation in a cappella. In their music, Melody, Harmony, and Rhythm are the most significant elements. Most of all, the aim of the group is simply to “make good music”, which is definitely happening!

日本のジャズ界を第一線で活動するソロヴォーカリスト3人とジャズ・ヴォイスパーカッショニスト、男性4人によるアカペラ・コーラスユニット。

普段ソリストとして全く異なる活躍を遂げ、人気を博す４人。
矢幅歩、KOTETSU、伊藤大輔、北村嘉一郎。

矢幅歩の声かけをきっかけに集まり始め、一緒にお酒を飲むこと３年。「もっとお酒を楽しみたい」、「もっと良い音楽を奏でたい」という共通の想いのもと、2015年11月24日、群馬の万座温泉「日進館」にてセッション、初共演を遂げる。

大盛況のライブを終え、夜中の温泉に入った際、足を滑らせ怪我をした北村を一人、部屋に残し、3人で入りなおした露天風呂で思い浮かんだ［ 鱧人 ］という漢字のネーミングに、特に深い意味はない。

Harmonyを為すPeopleであることはそれぞれの胸に共通して持つ思いである。ハーモニーだけでなく即興によるアカペラコーラスの可能性を追い求める。

2016年3月に、香港で開催されたQueen Elizabeth Stadiumでのインターナショナル・アカペラ・フェスティバルに日本からの招聘チームとして参し、２週間の香港ツアーを大成功におさめる。
2017年1月に１stアルバム「WijiN〜其の壱〜」をリリース。
2018年12月上映の映画 ドラゴンボール超「ブロリー」のテーマソングに参加。
2019年7月に２ndアルバム「Salad Bar」をリリース。
