House Fire - Harrisburg, PA - Moore St.

On December 1st, 2025 Harrisburg City firefighters on the D Battalion were sent to the 2100 Block of Moore St. for a possible house fire. Upon response DC911 advised of multiple calls reporting a fire.
This is part of a several block area where the buildings are predominantly vacant, however there is a large number of squatters who use the buildings regularly. This area is currently seeing a lot of fire activity.
Tower 2 arrived and reported a fire on the second floor and requested the box be filled out. Wagon 3 laid a supply line and stretched a 1.75" hand line and stretched through the front door.
Once inside T2 officer reported fire on floors 1 and 2. T2 crew forced entry and conducted searches of the fire building. They reported holes in the floor of the fire building. They utilized interior doors to cover the holes.
Squad 8 arrived and stretched a second handling to the fire building. Tower 1 arrived and checked exposure for extension and headed to the roof. Wagon 4 secured a second hydrant and assisted with opening up.
The fire was brought under control in about 10 minutes.
