Have you ever faced a moment so hopeless… you thought nothing could change it?
They thought it was the end. But with Jesus—this was just the beginning.
Word arrives—Lazarus is sick. Not just a little sick… but dangerously ill.
Lazarus wasn’t a stranger. He was Jesus’ close friend. His sisters, Mary and Martha, were like family.
But instead of rushing to the village of Bethany, Jesus says something strange:
“This sickness will not end in death.”
The disciples don’t understand.
But Jesus knows the bigger story—the one no one else can see yet.
By the time Jesus arrives, Lazarus hasn’t just died…
He’s been gone for four days.
Martha runs to Jesus, her voice trembling:
“Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”
Her words are honest. Raw.
Maybe you’ve prayed like that before—God, where were You? Why didn’t You show up sooner?
And then Jesus gives her a promise that echoes through time:
“I am the resurrection and the life.”
Mary comes next—broken, sobbing—and something powerful happens.
Jesus weeps.
The Son of God stands in grief with His friends.
Not distant. Not cold.
But full of compassion.
Then Jesus does the unthinkable.
Jesus tells them,
“Roll the stone away.”
Martha hesitates—
“Lord… the smell…”
Four days in the grave means it’s truly over.
But Jesus looks at her and says,
“Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
The stone is rolled back.
Silence.
Everyone holds their breath.
Then Jesus calls out with authority that shakes the air:
“Lazarus… come out!”

And the impossible happens.
Lazarus walks out—alive—still wrapped in the burial cloths.
Breathing.
Standing.
Living proof that Jesus has power over life, death, and everything in between.
This story isn’t just about Lazarus.
It’s about every moment when you think all hope is gone… when the situation feels sealed like a tomb.
Jesus is still the One who steps in and says,
“It’s not over. Watch what I can do.”
They thought it was the end.
But with Jesus… it was just the beginning.
