Two ambient pieces composed and performed live on the Moog Minimoog Model D with Qu-Bit effects.

Qu-Bit was kind enough to send some of their newer modules over to jam with; I had bought Data Bender, the original Bloom, Surface, and Chord previously, but hadn't tried any of the newer stuff. I found Bloom v2 to be good for quick inspiration and variation in sequencing, Nautilus to be solid for delay with colour, Aurora to be a bit particular in its use (one doesn't always need a robot reverb from outer space whales) but really awesome when it made sense, Stardust to be like Morphagene with a lot of effects and shaping baked in, and Mojave to be Qu-Bit's take on Beads. Together, they made a pretty powerful little case for effects, and their line-level-friendly inputs and built-in modulation sources meant I didn't need anything extra. I did have a bit of trouble navigating the devices at first—everybody's workflow philosophy differs—but in many cases stumbled across great sonic results.
Speaking of good sonic results, it's hard to beat the Minimoog Model D as a sound source. Despite its simplicity, this thing continues to be wonderful.
Thanks for listening.
Performed and recorded live to a stereo output, with EQ, compression, and limiting on the master.
