Working in the industrial design industry, Linda Hsiao found herself stuck behind a computer day in and day out. Intoxicated by creating things with her hands, she spent her free time in her studio during the evenings and weekends creating handmade ceramic and wood products. Feeling like their projects weren’t actually work, Linda and her husband coined the name Knotwork for their business. After the success from a crafted wooden rattle, Knotwork grew in sales and popularity through their online shop. Knotwork’s handmade pieces are hot on LA’s artisan radar, with features in Refinery 29 and the Los Angeles Times. Linda continues to create wooden rattles and unique ceramic sculptures, vases, plates and tumblers ready to be shipped out to customers. For Linda, happiness is waking up every morning to not work for Knotwork LA.
