This Mini Aquarium was inspired by what was already available in the house. Namely an old glass fish family (albeit chipped) that reminds me of a time gone by and the affection of a father who brought home many things from his many travels. An oval-shaped, glass jam jar was repurposed for this project. Also, ice cream sticks were reused to make bases for the fishes. Acrylic colors in tubes – turquoise, blue and white were used to give an ombre effect thus an ocean vibe and successfully create depth in a small space. Leftover multi-colored tiny stones from another project also played a major role to make this DIY idea come to fruition.
