The Rothschild Problem
By the mid-1800s, the Rothschilds had conquered European finance. But America represented the ultimate prize. One problem: Americans were suspicious of foreign banking control. The Rothschilds needed an American face.
In 1854, Junius Morgan accepted a partnership at George Peabody & Company in London. Peabody didn't work for American clients. He worked for the Rothschilds. Peabody's operation existed to channel Rothschild capital into American enterprises while maintaining the fiction this was American-controlled investment.
By 1864, when Peabody retired, Junius took control, renaming it J.S. Morgan & Company. On paper, an independent American banking house. In reality, a Rothschild satellite.
J.P. Morgan's Training
Young John Pierpont Morgan (born 1837) absorbed international finance from childhood. While bedridden with illnesses, John studied financial statements from his father's firm.
By 1857, John arrived at Duncan, Sherman & Company—the firm handling Peabody's American interests. This was John being inserted into the Rothschild pipeline.
In 1859, John used company money to purchase an entire shipment of Brazilian coffee without a buyer. John identified opportunity where supply exceeded demand, moved with borrowed capital, controlled the market, sold at profit. This was the Rothschild method executed perfectly.
In 1861, John established J.P. Morgan & Company. The structure was complete: Rothschilds provided capital → Junius Morgan's London firm → John's New York firm → American investments.
Civil War and Railroads
When conscription required John to serve, he paid $300 for a substitute. Wars represented business opportunities. Surplus Hall carbine rifles were available at $3.50 each. A consortium purchased 5,000, resold them to the government for $22 each. A 600% markup.
In 1871, John partnered with Anthony Drexel. The strategy focused on railroads. Use superior capital access to acquire railroads → merge them → create monopolies. When competitors couldn't access capital, John cabled his father in London. Junius drew on Rothschild resources. John accumulated control over one-third of American railroad track.
Panic of 1893
By 1895, U.S. gold reserves had fallen to $9 million. The government was on the verge of defaulting. President Cleveland needed J.P. Morgan.
John organized a syndicate to purchase $65 million in government bonds. Proceeds purchased 3.5 million ounces of gold from Rothschild-controlled operations. When Morgan announced the deal, bonds sold out in 30 minutes. The United States had been rescued by European capital, mobilized through Rothschild channels.
U.S. Steel and Federal Reserve
In 1901, John purchased Carnegie Steel for $480 million, creating U.S. Steel, the world's first billion-dollar corporation. Where did such capital come from? Many sources connect to Rothschild-influenced banking houses.
The Pujo Committee investigation of 1912 examined the "money trust." The investigation led to Federal Reserve creation in 1913. Representatives of banking houses, including Morgan interests, designed the Fed's structure. Morgan died in 1913. The Rothschild strategy in America had succeeded brilliantly.
💡 J.P. Morgan was the visible hand of invisible power.
