Jenny Robinson has dealt with ongoing pain her entire life but it was not until January 2015 that she was officially diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) Hypermobility.
One evening in 2014, Jenny was simply watching ITV's biggest soap opera, Coronation Street when she saw character Izzy Armstrong (played by Cherylee Houston) sitting unusually in her wheelchair. Jenny later did an internet search on the actress which led to her finding out about EDS. As Jenny scrolled through the symptoms she noticed that she had many of them and several months later after many appointments with specialists it was confirmed that she had the same syndrome as the actress. If it were not for the actress in Coronation Street, Jenny still might not have a diagnosis.
This short documentary follows Jenny to the set of Coronation Street to meet and say thank you to Cherylee Houston that triggered the thoughts that Jenny might have the condition.
