This has been a month in the making.
A month ago the swarm arrived.
Three days ago we moved the swarm trap from 10 foot high down to this level.
Today we (Melbourne Cup Day 2024) we transferred them into a Kenyan Top Bar hive we made from 1/2 of an olive Barrel.
Our idea is if the warm has stored some honey and the queen is laying ( which both happened) we are hoping the bees are too busy and decide to leave.
It's like moving starter house load into a new premises.
We just hope the queen is happy.
Happy queen, Happy Bees Happy us.
