8-24 Angels Among Us Pet Rescue

Brookhaven, GA - Set in the heart of Town Brookhaven, Angels Among Us Pet Rescue held a Pet Adoption Day Saturday. Several hundred people from in and around the Brookhaven area attended the event. The organization will return in a few weeks as the Town Brookhaven adoption day is held the first and fourth Saturday of each month. Frank Bragan, together with Araceli Dunn, started and run the Town Brookhaven Adoption Event for the organization. Bragan told us that this year alone, the number of dogs and cats that are in need of a home has seen a sharp increase. "Typically, we have around 400 dogs. Right now we have closer to 600. We need volunteers and fosters now more than ever. Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, is the largest Rescue in the South who rescues dogs and cats from high kill shelters." He added that the Town Brookhaven Adoption Event has turned in to their biggest and best event.

"We typically have 50 to 60 dogs when we visit Town Brookhaven twice a month," said Araceli Dunn. "Cats will be coming out [to the events] soon, once the temperatures cool down a bit. We are not breed specific and have dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. Some animals are sick when we get them and we help them to become completely healthy again," she added.

Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer-based organization dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats from high-kill shelters in north Georgia. We operate through a network of foster homes in the north metro Atlanta area.
