Holy smokes, I did not realize that term meant repairs involving stolen cars & their parts—I’m so glad I looked it while I was editing, bc I thought it meant a Mom & Pop repair shop and was only speculating about the unlikelihood of licensure to operate behind a residential property. Even then, what do I know (!), maybe they’re just hobbyists and fixing cars for friends and family. On this I want to be very clear because the internet is a public space and I’d never want anything I said on here in speculation or jest to create problems for someone else!
