Understanding Volkswagen Door Lock Modules - Part 2

In this video, I'll be covering all the mechanical operations of Volkswagen's door lock modules, specifically the driver door lock assembly, and how these devices work. I'll explain why it's pretty much impossible to troubleshoot with the wiring diagrams, but from reverse engineering, we'll be able to. More about that in the next video on the electrics. Also we'll learn how to disassemble the unit and how to put it back together. We'll look at the internals of the unit and see how these components interact with the micro-switches and what these small components do. And we'll look at the most common failure points.
