This is an extended version I made of Not So Far Away [12” UKGB Dub Version] which came out on Wednesday October 16th, 1985. The song is a dub version of the song, “Sun City” by Artists United Against Apartheid – a 1985 protest group founded by activist and performer Steven Van Zandt and record producer Arthur Baker. The album of the same name: “Sun City” was released on Friday October 25th, 1985. The songs in the album including the album version of the song, “Sun City,” as well the mix versions and Dub Versions of the song “Sun City” were written to protest the subjugation of native Africans by apartheid in the Republic of South Africa. Nine years after “Sun City” was released, apartheid ended in the Republic of South Africa.
