This is my REACTION to the Week 8 CFB Top 25 AP Rankings, followed up by my own rankings. Built on team resumes, merit, talent, and how good these squads have looked on the field. Wins matter. Losses matter. Brand and reputation don’t.
This is not a projection. It’s not a brand popularity contest. It’s a snapshot of who’s earned their spot right now. That’s why teams like Nebraska, Notre Dame, and USC are in the top 20; it's deserved right now. Doesn’t necessarily mean I expect them to stay there. But today? They belong.
