This video shows Stena line's high speed Ferry, HSS, that operated between the Hook of Holland and Harwich from 1997 to 2007.
It was filmed a couple of weeks after its maiden voyage in 1997 and at the time still drew a big crowd every time it departed from the Hook of Holland.
It was withdrawn from operation due to high operational costs, mainly caused by the tremendous fuel consumption by the ship's four jet engines.
The video was shot in VHS and recently digitally enhanced by de-interlacing, motion-stabilizing and upscaling to HD with a superb Video Enhancer.
