All it takes is a split second. In that moment, you can find yourself in the grasp of mother nature–pulled into the swiftly shifting surge of the ocean tide.

There are few that appear to understand the ocean as well as Brian Keaulana. Legendary Waterman, Lifeguard Captain, and Stunt Coordinator–Brian has made it his ambition to share his innate knowledge of the ocean and to improve water safety practices and awareness. Helping to save lives, every day.

Born in Hawaii and raised on the water near Makaha Beach, Brian was inspired by his father and the traditions of his ancestors to become a true Hawaiian Waterman. Honoring this heritage, Brian worked to better understand every facet of the ocean–learning to recognize the balance between the wonders and the risks presented by the water. Today, he strives to share his knowledge of the ocean and his skills with others; developing and promoting better safety practices and tools utilized throughout the water sport community. And earning recognition as a highly respected water safety advisor and one of the most influential water rescue specialists out there.
