This is the first time ever where I used multiple sources to edit a music video together. It surprisingly took a lot less time than usual :) Which makes me believe that I'm getting faster.
Music by Maxence Cyrin performing “Where is My Mind” (2009). Credit goes to Kwaidan Records for production and distribution.
Video clips used are from Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012) and credited to Warner Bros. Pictures, Legendary Pictures and DC Comics.
Envisioned, developed, and edited by Megan Manning.
This video is purely fan made, and I am not making any profit. It is purely for entertainment purposes and in no way meant to offend. I do not own the clips or the songs I used, they belong to their rightful owners/companies. No Copyright Infringement is intended at all.
STATEMENT:
I thought these two works would compliment each other very well and I have edited and remixed them together from the original artist’s materials to create something new and innovative.
I have always been a fan of film editing and I create these mash-up reconstructions to train and educate myself as well as develop more of an understanding of the skill.
My videos are noncommercial/non profit and are here to only benefit and inspire other artists.
There is no copyright infringement ever intended and I take credit for NOTHING but editing the mash up together and making something new and beautiful from existing works. I’m a work in progress, but I hope these videos inspire you to do something artistic.
Remember more or less 10 years ago when people could post anime music videos (AMVs) and/or music videos from popular songs and movie clips without being seen as copyright thieves? I miss those days. My name is Megan and I'm a film editor for a production company in ATL. I loved watching those types of videos when I was in high school. It was those videos that made me realize I wanted to be a film editor in the first place. The way the rise or fall of a song would be so perfectly placed at the flow of a scene would (and continues to) make my heart stop. Once I finally developed the skills to make these videos myself, they are banned everywhere and considered copyright infringement. Well I still love making these music videos and I always give credit to the original artists. I will continue to post these videos to anyone capable of viewing them because like they did me, they might inspire someone else out there coming home from school to become an editor after viewing their favorite movie and favorite song together and seeing it in a whole new light. Enjoy! These videos are non-commercial/non-profit and are here to inspire other artists. When I make these music videos, I make them from two pieces of work that I think would compliment eachother. I take those two works then edit and remix them together from the original artist's materials creating something new and innovative for everyone. I give all credit to the original artists and producers in my videos with no copyright infringement EVER intended. I take credit for nothing but mashing together two existing works of art to create something beautiful and new.
