Phoenix - Staudenrausch - Offride - 4K - Pfaffenhofener (Ilm) Volksfest 2025

DO NOT bring loose articles on your rides with you, don't film without the permission of the ride operators and without using fixed camera equipment while being on a ride! I had both. Safety first everyone.

This is Phoenix, a Mondial Heartbreaker owned by german showman Staudenrausch.

This is a wonderful ride. From it's design to it's marvelous engineering, there is a lot to unpack here.

Let's start with the ride experience. The seats are fairly comfortable. Only the inside seats are a bit more restrictive to my arms. The restrains are very bulky, but comfortable to my thighs. I could hang upside down for a good while, no problem. Is headbanging a problem? Depends. The further you sit outside towards the edge, the more shaky it gets. If you press your head to one side into the restraint, then it shouldn't be too big of an issue though.

The forces and overall ride is great though. It's a pleasent mix of airtime, positive forces and very good hangtime. Multiple loopings back to back? Maybe. Since the gondolas are free swinging, everything is possible. The ride operators make sure to give you plenty of inversions anyway, that's for sure.

Design is perfect in my opinion. The phoenix design looks like it got airbrushed and I'm in love with it. The colors, the art, the logo, the name, LOOOVEEEE IIITTTT.

I would love to learn more about this ride one day. Maybe get some footage of the control panel one day.
