The next generation variant of the Leopard 2A8 will have several improvements over its predecessor, the Leopard 2A7+. the upgrades include a new armor pack, which provides increased protection against a variety of threats including RPGs and mines. It will also be equipped with an improved situational awareness and communication system, as well as an improved fire control system.
