AJ is shot in the abdomen by Abel and retreats to a tree to rest, while Clementine fends off incoming walkers. Soon, an unusually animated walker shushes Clementine, leading the remaining walkers away from her. He is a human and carries a wounded AJ, leading Clementine to his base camp in the middle of the woods. He leads them to his campfire and urges Clementine to remove the shrapnel embedded in AJ's wounds. The mysterious figure reveals himself to be James, formerly affiliated with a group known as the Whisperers.
