The annunciation of the Lord 2020

We Catholics are devoted to Mary as she was the first Christian because if she refused then what would have happened?
Mary who was visited by the Angel Gabriel to announce to her that she was chosen to be the mother of God.
She was therefore with child. She was all alone and it was a terrifying experience presumably as she who was so young and to be told this.
Who would believe her and what would her husband to be do when he heard that she was with child.
However there is the God side to it as well. This was God himself breaking through our fallen nature and becoming like us in all things and in every way except sin. The word became flesh.
The sin of our first parents was one of disobedience and the New Adam (namely Jesus) would have Obedience to his Father in Heaven as the hall mark of his life here on Earth.
Remember the first reading today HEB 10:4-10 “As is written of me in the
Scroll, behold, I come to do your will, O God.'
Mary on the other hand is the new Eve who is totally submissive to the will of God and that is to accept to carry him in her womb and give birth and be His mother while on Earth.

Mary is our greatest intercessor and as a mother she cares for us very deeply.
In (Luke 1:46–48). Mary expresses the glory of God and her humbleness in His eyes.
Something we all should strive towards.
We should never give up wondering in a positive way at the great things God is doing for us all the time. That means every moment.
We should ponder and marvel and be eternally grateful.
Many churches honour Mary and we hear a list that makes one assured that Mary has a special place in peoples hearts.
