In this video, we replace the factory anode rod in a Rheem Proterra hybrid water heater (model XE50T10H45U0), which is just under 2 years old, with a Corro-Protec powered anode rod. Corro-Protec claims to extend the life of the tank in any water heater, not just this one. Still plenty of life left on the factory anode rod - I did this for peace of mind.
