We Need To Talk About The Printerceptor In Oxygen Not Included:

With the November 2025 Quality Of Life update, a new Story Trait got added to Oxygen Not Included: the Printerceptor. This building lets you print specific critter eggs and plant seeds with enough Printer Pod charges and Data Banks, which is potentially very powerful. On certain asteroids, this can grant access to critters and plants that you otherwise couldn't get until Cycle 500+ when the Printing Pod unlocks all of its options. This can make the game a lot easier in these specific circumstances and let you circumvent some of the intended gameplay challenges. While you're not guaranteed to find it on Moonlets, if you DO find it... then the game may become a LOT easier. The Printerceptor can also save your butt if you accidentally make a certain critter type extinct during your run!
