A step-by-step guide to walking to the Tirupati temple. However, please note that the actual time to complete the walk may vary depending on various factors, such as your starting point, walking pace, and crowd conditions.
Start at the entrance of the Alipiri Mettu footpath, which is located at the foothills of Tirumala.
Begin your climb up the footpath, which stretches for approximately 2.5 miles and has around 3550 steps.
As you walk up the path, you will come across various rest points and small shops selling water and refreshments. You can take short breaks as needed.
After walking for about 45-60 minutes, you will reach the first checkpoint, where you will have to show your ID card and get a security clearance.
Continue walking up the path; you will reach the second checkpoint after 15-20 minutes. Here, you will have to show your ID card again and undergo a security check.
After passing the second checkpoint, continue your walk up the path until you reach the main entrance of the temple complex. This should take another 10-15 minutes.
Once you reach the entrance, you must deposit any belongings such as bags, phones, cameras, and footwear at the designated counters.
Then, proceed towards the temple entrance, where you will have to stand in the queue and wait for your turn to enter the temple.
After entering the temple, you can have the darshan of Lord Venkateswara and offer your prayers.
Once you are done with the darshan, you can collect your belongings and exit the temple complex.
That's it! This should give you a rough idea of what it would be like to walk to the Tirupati temple. However, please note that the actual time to complete the walk may vary depending on various factors, such as your starting point, walking pace, and crowd conditions.
