Ishibutai Kofun is a mysterious tomb in the Asuka region. It's believed to be the early 7th Century tomb of a powerful minister of state known as Soga no Umako. Very little was found there because tomb is believed to have been robbed a long time ago. If it was Umako's grave it would make sense since his son and grandson apparently tried to take on more power and were eventually crushed by enemies who later became the future emperors Tenji and Temmu.
Kofun were ancient mound tombs built in Japan from around 250 AD to the early 7th Century when the spread of Buddhism brought this practice to an end.
