The Easiest Crispy Crunchy Fried Squid Like No Other (Crispy Fried Calamari)

There are many ways to prepare and cook squid. Deep-fried is one of the most common types of dishes in the world. A crunchy texture on the outside with soft and tender on the inside is one of the pleasures like no other! This is one of the easiest ways to cook fried squid. Perfect for snacks, lunch, or dinner, you can have it anytime you want!


Fresh Ingredients:

1. 300g of fresh squids (or frozen)
2. Two medium-size eggs

For the batter:

1. Half cup of flour
2. Half cup of rice flour
3. One teaspoon of white pepper
4. One teaspoon of black pepper
5. One teaspoon of onion powder
6. One teaspoon of garlic powder
7. One teaspoon of salt

If you feel like need the extra heat, add two teaspoons of chili powder
If you like even yellower color, add one teaspoon of turmeric powder
You can adjust the amount of the spice up to your taste

1. Cut the squids into rings

2. Add one teaspoon of white vinegar to discard the fishy smell

3. Crack two medium-sized eggs and whisk them up

4. Add the squids into the whisked eggs

5. Add all the batter ingredients in a separate container

7. Cover the container with a lid and shake it up to mix evenly all the ingredients

8. Add the squid into the flour mix and shake evenly

9. Take out the squid rings individually and fry them in hot oil until golden brown.

10. Rest the squid over a wire rack for about 5 minutes before serving.

11. It is now ready to enjoy!
