Using a colorfast natural dye such as onion skins is ideal to create bright natural colorfast colors on fibers such as feathers, leather, wool, silk, cotton and linen.
Extract the color from onion skins and then create different dye baths at different ratios of intensity to create yellows, golds and coppers (modifying the onion skin dye with iron or citric acid).
