Описание:
Shut PCV valve leads to increasing pressure on valves cover and seeping oil through. I have replaced oil pan gasket, wiped oil everywhere where it could be and still had burning oil smell after driving on highway. Replacing the PCV valve solved the problem.
BTW, I had high pitch sound on my another 2001 Honda CRV. It turns out that water pump was defective, regardless that I had only 22k mileage on it. I had to replace it along with timing belt and tensioner again. Annoying sound gone.
