A Shocking Promise, Divine Warning, & Intercession to Save Sodom: Genesis 18

In Genesis 18 Abraham and Sarah are visited by three mysterious heavenly guests with the appearance of men - who come with surprising news. Sarah laughs in disbelief as they tell her that she and Abraham, who are long past their child-bearing years... are going to have a baby son at the appointed time. After a nice refreshing meal, they venture to observe the city of Sodom which the Lord hears their cries of misery and sin. Abraham negotiates with God to spare them if He finds enough righteous people in the city. He starts with 50 - then narrows down to just 10. God in His mercy agrees and the heavenly guests leave for the city.
