Subject: Permission to Register for ____________________
Dear Professor [Last Name],
I hope this e-mail finds you well.
I am [First Name] [Last Name] (Student No.: #) and I am a Master's student in [Major] at ABC University. I was hoping to register for your course, [Full Course Name] (Course No.), as this is not offered at my current university this term. I have a passion for [this area] and based on the syllabus you provided, I believe you will be able to share a great deal of insight on this subject.
In order to register for your course, I would need your signature of approval. Should you agree to allow me to register for the course, I was hoping you would let me know the best way to receive this signature from you (e.g., virtually, in-person during the first day of class, during office hours). Based on our university's guidelines, I would need to submit the signed form by the second week of the semester (due date: Month DD, YYYY).
I appreciate your consideration and look forward to hearing from you at your convenience.
