Braised Vegetables with Fermented Beancurd 南乳斋菜 | 新年斋菜 CNY Vegetarian Dishes

Hey everyone, welcome back to another episode of G8stromania. For this week, we will be introducing a vegetarian dish for Chinese New Year. Many families still preserve the tradition of having vegetarian meals for the first day of Chinese New Year. This dish is the perfect dish that every family that consumes vegetarian meals for the first day!

For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:
350g napa cabbage
Half a carrot
Small amount of ginger
3 pieces of red fermented beancurd
6 pcs of dried mushrooms
6g of black fungus
Small amount of glass noodles

Steps:
1. Fry some ginger until fragrant
2. Add in the red fermented beancurd and fry until fragrant
3. Add in dried mushrooms, black fungus and carrots.
4. Add cabbage and water, simmer for 2 mins.
5. Add beancurd skin and glass noodles, simmer for 3 mins.
6. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning before serving.
7. Serve
