Ely's Peak and DWP Winter POV Trail Run/Hike - 30 mins

This is a half-hour (26 minute) abridged version of a 7-mile run in fresh snow. I start off with a #hike up Ely's Peak, over to Bardon Peak, across a closed-for-winter portion of Duluth's beautiful Skyline Drive and back to my starting point via the DWP bike trail (old Duluth Winnipeg Pacific rail bed).

It was a gorgeous, sunny day and s rare above-zero exception to our northern Minnesota January.

The Duluth area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts due to its unique location and geography. On the western tip of Lake Superior (largest freshwater lake in the world by surface area), the city is also surrounded by forests and challenging, rugged terrain. In the winter, the area is perfect for skiing, snowshoeing and even running – if you're brave enough and have the right silly outfit.
