For several years, local communities in Muanda, particularly those in Kinkazi, have been suffering the severe consequences of oil exploitation by PERENCO.
Water and soil pollution, the disappearance of fishing grounds, loss of agricultural land: the daily lives of residents are marked by precariousness and environmental injustice.
These communities, long ignored, are calling for recognition of their rights, fair compensation, and responsible resource management. Their cry for help is a call for climate and social justice so that the wealth of the land finally benefits those who live there.
