In the Cocora Valley is nestled the Colombian national tree: the wax palm.
The wax palm, or also called “Ceroxylon Quindiuense”, is the tallest palm tree in the world: it can reach a height of up to 60 meters!
Threatened with extinction, they have been protected by the government since 1985.
