Gillian Cross, award-winning author of books for children and young adults, appeared in the first edition of The Oxford Companion to Children’s Literature over thirty years ago. Daniel Hahn is a writer, editor, and translator, with some forty books to his name. He has worked as editor on the following: The Oxford Companion to English Literature, The Good Fiction Guide, The Oxford Guide to Literary Britain & Ireland, and The Concise Oxford Companion to English Literature. He is currently Chair of the Society of Authors.
Gillian Cross is winner of the Cargegie Medal, the Smarties Prize, and the Whitbread Children's Novel Award, as well as many other children's book prizes
