Debate: Are U.S. Colleges too Dependent on International Students?

The MIT Free Speech Alliance's next debate takes place Thursday, November 6, and we'll be streaming it right here on YouTube!

This fall, our debaters will tackle the proposition, "Resolved, American Universities are too dependent on international students."

The affirmative team will consist of James Fishback, founder and CEO at Azoria and founder of Incubate Debate, and Nathan Halberstadt, partner at New Founding.

The negative team will consist of David Freed, entrepreneur and former Chief Operating Officer of Crimson Education, and Chris Glass, Professor of the Practice at Boston College and Editor of International Higher Education.

Moderating this fall's debate is MIT Professor Anant Agarwal, Founder of edX and Chief Academic Officer of 2U.

The debate will be livestreamed on MFSA's YuTube page and held in person at MIT's Wong Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public, and more information is available on our website:
