Standing proudly on the historic ramparts of Bijapur, Malik-e-Maidan (King of the Battlefield) is one of the largest medieval cannons in the world and a magnificent symbol of the Adil Shahi dynasty’s military power. Cast in the 16th century from a single block of bronze, this colossal cannon weighs over 55 tons and stretches more than 14 feet in length. Its muzzle, shaped like the head of a roaring lion, captures the imagination of every visitor. From this commanding height, the cannon once defended the glorious city of Bijapur — now it watches silently over its timeless skyline, telling stories of valor, art, and empire.

فتح بیجاپور کرد و بھر تاریخ ظفر

اردو ترجمہ:
شاہ عالمگیر غازی، دین کے محافظ بادشاہ،
جس نے عدل و انصاف کو رواج دیا اور بادشاہتوں پر قبضہ کیا۔
جب اس نے بیجاپور کو فتح کیا تو کامیابی کی تاریخ میں
نصیب و اقبال نے کہا — “ملکِ میداں (یعنی بیجاپور) کو حاصل کر لیا گیا۔"
