Problem 1 Level E/P
The questions about how to find speed at the given instant of time and how to find time between two time instances
Problem 2 Level E/P
Similar problems might sound like: A ball is released from rest at a point which is some meters m above a wooden floor (or above any surface which is not perfectly elastic in terms of collision) Each time the ball strikes the floor it rebounds with the loos in its speed. Find the greatest height above the floor reached by the ball
The questions are about finding the height after bouncing off the first and the second times. During the collision with t surface the ball losses energy and as a result the speed.
CHALLENGING PROBLEM 1
The questions refer to the whole class of CHALLENGE problems when two particles collide with each other, i.e. meeting at one single point when projected vertically. For example the problem might sound like:
Particle P is projected vertically upwards from a point O with speed 12 m/s. One second after P has been projected from O, another particle Q is projected vertically upwards from O with speed of … Find The time between the instant that P is projected from O and the instant when P and Q collide
CHALLENGING PROBLEM 2
The questions refer to the whole class of CHALLENGE problems when two particles reach the ground simultaneously when released from the same height. For example the problem might sound like 📢:
A stone is dropped from the top of a building and two seconds later another stone is thrown vertically down at a speed of m/s…
or more generally like this:📢
Particle P and Q are released from the top of the building with a time delay of three seconds and then reached the ground simultaneously. Find the height of the building and the time between the instant that P is thrown and they both reached the ground
