What has changed in the Mega-City of Lagos since you were a child?

The Mega-City of Lagos has gone through vast changes in its history - particularly in the last decade since return to democracy in Nigeria. But are these changes for the better or worse?

BattaBox and Nsibidi ask people on the streets of Lagos - the commercial capital of Nigeria - what their memories of Lagos are when they were younger:

"I don't joke with my stomach!" says one woman. "The way we eat back then is different to how we eat now."

"Before we were living in hell," argues another man.

From colonial times, to independence, to military rule and now civilian rule under the APC - the city of Lagos has grown to be one of the largest cities on earth.

The changes people talk about include security, the spread of banks and ATMS, mobile phones, and the disappearance of street hawkers:

"The population of Lagos has multiplied, not just increased but multiplied," says one older gentleman.
