Corpus Christi 25 - This Is My Body, Carried in Glory at Our Lady of Peace, Thank You KAROLINA

This is my body.
Not just said — but shown.
Carried forward, slowly, in clouds of incense, on hymns sung soft and full.
It is Corpus Christi, 2025.
At Our Lady of Peace, in Reading.

The monstrance waits on the altar — golden, still.
A quiet image of the Mass, petals resting nearby like fallen prayers.
The thurible prepared, moves, measured, steady.
Charcoal placed.
Fragrance rising.
Curling upwards like memory.

And then he lifts it.
Confident, arms strong, Father Stan holds Christ out to the world.
A small white wafer, barely visible, yet carried like light.

The Cross goes before.
Candles follow.
The boys in white and red.
The thurifer and boat.
The choir begins again,
singing hymns we’ve sung for centuries, with the same aching hope.

Some kneel along the path.
Some throw petals as prayers.
Some just walk, quietly, behind.

The camera catches a glimpse of itself,
a man filming.
But the shot moves on,
past the lens,
past us,
back to Him.
This, not for the sake of our vanity,
but for the sake of His glory.

A server’s face looks on, sincere, focused, still, searching.
The Blessed Sacrament looks back.
