Winner of numerous national and international competitions — most recently First Prize at NYCA (New York Concert Artists) 2023, Gold Award at the NTD International Piano Competition 2024 in New York, and Winner of the German Music Competition 2025 — Robert Neumann, hailed as “an exceptional talent” and “one of the most promising pianists of his generation,” received the International Classical Music Discovery Award and was named OPUS KLASSIK Young Artist of the Year.

A SWR Kultur New Talent, Robert is supported by the Mozart Society Dortmund and the Nikolaisaal Potsdam, is a Swiss Charity Award recipient, and a Laureate of the Freiburg Concert Hall.

He has released two solo albums with SWRmusic/Naxos, as well as a portrait, studio concert, and several singles with Deutsche Grammophon.

Robert made his orchestral debut at the age of eight with the Radio Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart. Since then, he has performed at leading festivals including Kissinger Sommer, Schwetzinger Festspiele, Gstaad Menuhin Festival, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Interlaken Classics, Pfingstfestspiele Baden-Baden, and the Classical Bridge Festival New York.

Robert shares his passion for music-making with artists such as Julia Fischer, Daniel Müller-Schott, Sebastian Manz, and Olli Mustonen. In 2024, he founded his own piano festival, showcasing leading pianists of the new generation.

His compositions have recently been premiered by Julia Fischer, Benjamin Nyffenegger, and Alexey Stadler.

Raised in a trilingual family of musicians, Robert studied with Monika Giurgiuman and Elza Kolodin and is currently completing his Konzertexamen under Eldar Nebolsin in Berlin.
