Many people say they’re technically the same headphones — but after testing both, I’ve found there are actually some pretty noticeable differences. Perhaps it is more akin to individual differences in tolerance, rather than being purely technical, yet still audible.

Personally, I think the K240 has a cooler, more vintage look, so that’s the one I’d go for. I still use these headphones for professional studio work, and I love how they sound. They’re very neutral and give a fair representation across all frequencies.

Sure, they don’t make it super easy to hear the lowest lows, but once you get used to how the low end behaves on woofers, car speakers, and more bass-heavy headphones, you quickly learn how to use these to your advantage.

Overall, both models are solid studio-standard headphones that have earned their reputation over the years.
